KHOJ is a journal in motion across India. Each chapter is one region, studied closely and released as a limited collection before the journey moves on. It begins at the top, in the high valleys of Kinnaur.

means search.
The search for what was never lost, only forgotten.
We spend our lives searching outward. Finer things, sharper clothes, a bigger house, a softer bed. And somewhere along the way we forget that the truest luxury was never a thing at all. It is being human. It is peace. And it has been within us the whole time.
Khoj is the search that turns around. Back to a village name, a festival, a border woven by hands you will never meet. Back to the quiet in you that was never missing, only waiting to be seen.
Every chapter of KHOJ follows that search into one region of India. We stay a while, listen to the people who keep its craft and stories alive, and bring back a small collection of clothes that carry them.

The mark

In the old Indian telling, the musk deer wanders the forest its whole life, chasing a fragrance it cannot place, never knowing the scent rises from its own body.
That is the mark, and the whole idea: stop wandering. The beauty you are searching for is already in you, in your people, in the ground you come from.

Kinnara
New forms, old spirits.
Chapter one begins on the old Hindustan–Tibet road. Kinnaur’s everyday silhouettes, temple carving, woven borders and folklore, carried into clothes for the city below.

Sketches, Chapter 01
Nothing is finished. Motifs are drawn from temple carvings and woven borders, redrawn by hand, then reduced until only the principle remains. The collection arrives when it is ready.

Each chapter follows that search into one region of India, spent with the people who keep its craft and stories alive, and returns as a limited collection.
